The extra long 10 foot USB to Mini USB cable plugs into the any free USB port on the PS3 console, and attaches to the Mini USB port on the SIXAXIS controller providing power to charge the internal battery of the controller. Definitely a must for PS3 wireless controller! The 10 feet allows you to sit far from the big screen TV you have it hooked up to and allows for you to re-charge and play at the same time!
