It charges a combination of up to eight AA or AAA NiMH batteries and four C or D type batteries. The accessory kit with DC adaptor allows "on-the-go" charging. It is ideal for taking along on family vacations or for those mobile professionals that use battery-operated, high-drain devices such as digital cameras in their jobs. "Smart charger" technology individually charges each to the maximum capacity, so partially drained batteries take less than 1 hour. It also charges Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) batteries.
