Fun:

This game is pretty decent, if you don't mind the old school graphics. The storyline in itself is interesting and you have to figure out things on your own in the game as well as fight while doing so. However, if you're looking for top notch graphics you're not going to get them in this game. But, if you're like me and grew up playing atari, then you won't mind the graphics.

The storyline is kind of slow, but it's still interesting. You will see blood in this game, and you will have to fight a lot. You can't run from some battles in this game.

Also, if you're a fan of the sixaxis controller, you're not going to be able to use it except for normal fighting. If you are wanting games where you can use the sixaxis controller for all it has to offer, then I suggest Heavenly Sword, Lair, or Harry Potter. I'm sure there are other games that will allow the use of the sixaxis, but I haven't purchased many games.

First off, this game really brings the story of the Godfather to life, which makes acting out scenes from the movie(s) all the more fun. All of the new features for the PlayStation 3 version of the game make it far better than the old versions. Being able to call in a "hit squad" to aid you, do favors for people, and call on a driver to transport you from one safe house to another in just a few seconds are just a few of the changes that were made for the ps3 version. Whether you're extorting a business, buying out a racket, or blowing away another family, this game is fun to play and not boring in the least.
I have beaten the ps2 version of the Godfather and if this version ends in the same way then I would say that the replay value is moderate to low. I say that because in the ps2 version when you beat the game(100%) it's just over. All you can do now is start a new game, which means starting all over from the very beginning. Nothing carries over into your next play through. You have to [...] every business, every racket, re-take every transportation hub and so on and so forth all over again. I never bought the ps2 version for that very reason, but I am still playing the ps3 version and you should too. I haven't beaten this game yet, so I don't know if the endings are the same. Many changes were made to the ps3 version of the Godfather, but I don't know if the ending was one of them. It is a very long game and if you are a fan of the Godfather then this is a game you can't miss. There is so much to do in this game and it is so fun that you will be playing it all the time or you will be thinking about it, all the time.

Fun:

I've never been much for the medieval adventure genre of video games but this game is really quite amazing. The world is so rich and detailed. It doesn't have the scripted feel that many games do. You can explore just about anything anywhere and it seems like there are nearly countless little discoveries that you wouldn't know existed if you didn't decide to just wander off the path.

PROS: chow yun-fat voice acting, Hong Kong and Chicago background, Hard Broiled movie included, shooting up the environment is fun.

CONS: Using the analog stick to aim is so frustrating. no manual save. if you screw up, you have to restart from the checkpoint. this is so ridiculous. no map and it's very easy to get lost. the Hard Broiled movie is not in HD. the color quality is poor. it's better than VCD quality but not as good as DVD. It is so disappointing to watch a movie this quality in a blu-ray disc.

I like Chow Yun-fat, but not enough to recommend this to anyone. the game play really gets me so frustrating.

Get this only if you are super crazy about Chow.
